Who-ville is a popular place during this season. For some it’s a tourist attraction only during Christmas, others avoid it because of the traffic jams and for some it’s called home.

Please do not try to locate this place using Google Maps or Waze, Who-ville is a fictional town created by author Dr.Seuss made popular by a character known as the Grinch. Yes, the nemesis of Christmas - the Grinch.

Through revelation from Holy Spirit, ‘Who-vile’ is the place in our soul where the spirit of the Grinch tries to set up shop not only during this season but every day. He feasts on our disappointments and hurts. Can you see that grim smile of the Grinch, and his calculating fingers calibrating what to bring up next?

So how do we deal with the spirit of the Grinch in real life? We have to unwrap the gifts given to us by a loving Savior. Gifts?!?! Yes, God gave us his only begotten son Jesus but for some reason, we forget Jesus became a full-grown man, walked this earth, took our hurts and disappointments to the cross. He then ascended to heaven, taking his place at the right hand of God.

Jesus asked the people of Galatia a similar question. In Galatians 3:1-5; “You Christians in Galatia are like fools! Someone has taught you to believe crazy ideas! I taught you clearly that Jesus Christ died on the cross as a sacrifice on our behalf. You understood that. So think about this: When you received God's Spirit, was it because you had obeyed the rules of God's Law? No! You received God's Spirit because you heard the message about Christ and you believed it. Do not think like fools! You first became believers by the help of God's Spirit. So, do not try now to continue by your own human power. That will never get you to the end! You have had many troubles as believers. I want those troubles to help you. Surely they could not be without any good purpose. God gives to you the gift of his Spirit. He also does powerful miracles among you. But he does not do these things because you obey the rules of his Law. No, he does them because you believed the message about Christ which you heard.”‭‭Gal. ‭3:1-5‬ ‭EASY‬‬

Unwrap the gift God freely gave you today. Simply believe.

Decree today, I receive the many gifts of God that you so freely gave me. I will open each gift in expectation. I will not walk in my own strength or believe in my own power to free myself. God, I believe in you and I believe I am FREE! In Jesus Name!
