It’s Time to Level Set

There comes a time and a place in life where we must accept some things for what they are worth. We may think it is unfair and powerless. Over the last few weeks or so I repeatedly used the phrase ‘level set’, in conversations. This is not a word I have in my word bank, so let’s talk about it.

Level set is defined according to the Urban Dictionary as a slang phrase often used to describe the act of getting people to understand and agree to the same set of facts, typically in a corporate environment.

Now is the time to level set with the things God has spoken to you in his word. Why do we insist on resisting what we know he has said? Why do we reject the Word of God to pursue life decisions we already know aren’t part of the plan for our lives.

God desires for you to level set with him. Break up with what you think is best for you or what you think God really meant. Come into agreement and alignment with what the word of God has written and spoken. Wouldn’t you like a rest from trying to figure out your life but live and trust in an all-knowing and sufficient God.

Here’s some solid wisdom to keep in mind. Listen to God’s Decree, “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work. For as the sky soars high above the earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do they’ll complete the assignment I gave them. Isaiah 55:8-11(MSG)

Prayer of Focus:

Lord, I cannot begin to understand some of the things that have happened in my life but I know you have and will continue to use them for my good. Forgive me for taking the wheel (will) of my life, making detours and pit stops that were not in your plan. I choose to level set with you today. In Jesus name, Amen.
