Blooming Out of Season

I mentioned during the "It's Time, Pull Up" Get-Together, how my rose bushes are blooming out of season. I know the North Carolina weather can play temperature games and leave us wondering what each day will hold. Yes, it’s almost as if we have to be ready with four seasons of clothes in the good ole NC.

Now back to the rose bush. I pruned the rose bush in late September because the roses started to go dormant in preparation for fall or so I thought. However, in the last few weeks, the rose bush has been blooming as if it was early spring. I recalled looking at the bush and thinking this is peculiar and surely with the near-freezing temperatures the roses would die, but to my surprise, they have not.

Each day I walked by the rose bush, I would hear in my spirit “bloom where you are planted”. I gave a head nod in acknowledgment of what I had heard but did not seek clarity. One day I paused in my daily passing in admiration and curiosity to observe the rose bush only to be blessed with a revelation. “Bloom where you are planted and I will cause you to bloom out of season.” Nature is the foreplay of time in the earth of what is to come. For example, we know seasons are changing according to how the trees, roses, and grass are responding. Now, this blessed my heart, and I pray it bless yours.

What do roses blooming in fall with uncertain temperatures have to do with you?

“God is doing a NEW thing; do you not perceive it? Forget about what has happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I am about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?” Isaiah 43:18-19 MSG

Grab your spiritual glasses, your faith and perceive what God is trying to do in and through you. Bloom where you are planted and your due season is now! “Be instant in season and out of season according to 2 Timothy 4:2 AMP. Proclaim it to yourself as well as to others.

Pray this prayer aloud.

Father, I thank you for allowing me to bloom even in “not so perfect” conditions. In this due season where I am planted, I cast all my thoughts of inadequacy, lack of efficiency, and those thoughts that do not align with who you created me to be. I take the limits off and break the box of comfortability. I thank you, Father-God, for blooming and growing me right where you have planted me--- In Jesus name, Amen.
