A New Year Psalm
“Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; Waters will flow where there had been none.” Isaiah 43:19

I reflect on this past year with smiles and frowns. Goals, tasks, and dreams left undone. I transfer uncompleted goals and tasks forward to the coming year, awaiting the appointed time to complete them. I will write new visions and make it simple. My hopes and dreams will come to past. God, you have spoken great things over my life that in my human feebleness, I cannot accomplish without your hand guiding me.
As I think to myself, does God care about goals, tasks, and dreams left undone? I remind myself, you are Alpha & Omega, you know my end from my beginning. You knitted me in my mother’s womb. You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. Yes, you care about goals, tasks, and dreams left undone that you have given me.
Yes, God cares about ALL things concerning you.
Repeat this Affirmation out loud:
I will trust in the Lord and do good. I will dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. I will take delight in the Lord, and he will give me the desires of my heart. I will commit my way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.
I will be still before you God. I will continually offer praise and thanksgiving for who you are to me. I will pray without ceasing and await your instructions. I will ponder your Word that is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. You are the great God of yesterday, today, tomorrow, this year and the years to come. In Jesus name, Amen.
